The Gospel is this, go out and do all things for the glory of God. Do you know what that means? It does not mean you have to be a pastor or a great teacher, it means you just do what you are passionate about, and do it for the glory of God!
Passionate about being an artist? Than paint good pieces of art, and praise God for it! Passionate about having a family, and being a mom or dad? Than get married, start a family and raise them in the ways of the Lord! Passionate about making movies? Than make good films!
The Gospel is not a narrow road, it is a wide open path that you journey on, all the while having Christ right next to you. When I understood that, the glory of Christ became so simple and so alluring, because it was understanding that God wants you to be fully alive and fully active in what you desire to do. We worship God by making Him apart of our story, even though He is writing it all along.
But one thing is important to understand, it all comes back to Christ, in the end, we are not our own. Art is important, but it did not die for you. Your family is beautiful, but nothing is more beautiful than the cross. Your passions must ultimately show a life that consists of Christ, because what we put our whole heart into, will show the whole world what our heart is all about.”
